Pensado para hacer visuales con el mismo ordenador con el que haces tu liveset de audio.
Patch construido en quartz composer donde hay un audio input, y se ha de configurar; clica en el actor del audio input y pulsa “patch parameters” para editar los controles , las opciones de hardware ..etc.
Es un patch que no pesa nada por lo que no hay problemas de cpu incluso con varios programas funcionando simultaneamente por lo que es bastante estable. Es un patch muy simple como para empezar a trastear con programas modulares (max/msp, pure data, isadora…etc). No hay más que seguir la señal del audio e imagen para ver como funciona. 100% modificable y copyleft.
El audio se divide en 3 grupos de frecuencias a las cuales responde con un color determinado . La cantidad de rayas responde al volumen de entrada y el color a la frecuencia. Lo ideal es routear el audio internamente (recomiendo soundflower ), pero también funciona con el micrófono del mac, por ejemplo de Ableton dedicar un envio a ext. out e ir a la configuración de audio en QC que hablamos arriba para selecionar la opción correcta.
Ah por cierto , quartz composer es una aplicación que viene dentro del sistema mac osx, creo que a partir del leopard 10.5, asi que abstenerse los wiiind-o-ws…

Filastine cuts, copies and mutilates the beat around the rapid fire vocals of Australian Wire MC, and Japan’s ECD to craft a song that transcends region and language to create something hybrid, global and incredibly danceable. Cauto’s remix re-dresses the song for the dancefloor, twisting the staccato riddims of the orifinal into a ghetto-tech / acid-tech sesnibility, guaranteed to ignite dancefloors from here to Timbuctoo.
