Bebiendo de la música negra y el folk, e influenciados por el house y la bass music, los cuatro tracks de este EP consiguen captar la atención desde el primer momento, gracias a la habilidad que Cauto tiene para crear complejas melodí­as, trazar lineas de bajo profundas y acompañarlo de delicados ritmos dinámicos y nada repetitivos. Lurching from a subbass drenched dream, Downliners Sekt continue to surprise, confound and delight with this, the final in their trilogy of 12” explorations into shattered electric soul music. Having turned heads with their intense, abstracted and very personal approach to bass music in previous releases, this new record surprises us once more with the duo retracting their teeth, and baring their broken hearts in these 4 soul-filled gospel hymns for a technological apocalypse. Mutated guitars wind their way around hypnotic digital syncopations and ghostly choral textures, uplifting and menacing in equal parts.

This is the third and final installment of a trilogy started exactly 12 months ago with the release of the surprising ‘Hello lonely, hold the nation’ EP which was followed 5 months later by a clear statement: ‘We make hits, not the public’. Amb aquest concert ens mostra, gairebé en primicia, el seu nou repertori musical: cançons i melodies difícilment classificables on la presència de la seva guitarra ens recorda les seves innumerables influències: de les bandes de Garage a tot tipus d’experimentacions sonores actuals.
